From via Morelli, passing through via Guarnieri you reach via Oliva where you find the precious small church of San Nicola. Squeezed in between the surrounding houses, the church was built around 1530 at the behest of a nobleman of Locorotondo. What strikes us is its original architectural structure: a single hall once covered with a barrel vault and later by a trullo. It was recently restored and works have uncovered rich decorations which reproduce scenes from the life and the miracles of San Nicola and angels who play musical instruments of the era. It is curious to know that every third Wednesday in the month in this church there is an ecumenical celebration aimed at all the religions that exist in the world.
