Just further on walking towards via Cavour, you find the Church of San Rocco, patron saint of the town. The people of locorotondo are very devoted to their saint as he saved the inhabitants from the plague that struck nearby Fasano between 1690 and 1691.

Initially this was a small crape which in 1804 was replaced by a larger building built on a central plan and was then enlarged again in 1872. Within you can see: a canvas that represents San Rocco among the plague stricken, the 18th century canvas of San Francesco da Paola and an image of Sant’Irene with the background of a coastal town.
