The little Church of Santa Lucia is built where the street of the same name crosses with via S. Maria di Costantinopoli, which in the past was called Madonna di Montserrat – the mountain of Catalonia, in Spain. The little church probably goes back to the 17th century and holds the remains of some renaissance frescoes. On the 13 of December on the occasion of the Saint’s Day for Lucia it is still the custom to light great bonfires in the countryside in memory of her martyrdom and for the cures that she brought about.
